Guess what? We are engaged. I know, big surprise. But we are kind of ecstatic over the whole thing. The wedding will be in June, but you probably won't get to far trying to pry other details from us (because we don't know any). More details will become available...
The Story:
So we are on vacation. Britta picked up her friend Jeni Lewis from the Jackson Hole Airport, WY, and Ryan brought his buddies Adam Ellsworth and Nic Budde. We met up in Grand Teton National Park (just south of Yellowstone). We have been camping, hiking, sightseeing, and counting shooting stars ever since.
Monday morning Ryan woke Britta up at 5:30am. The most amazing part is that Britta got up. We then proceeded to drive up Signal Mountain and watch the sunrise. After some walking around, Ryan handed Britta a note (folded just like the one originally handed him when we met). Inside was a ring, the proposal was accepted and Britta gave Ryan a ring as well. We prayed, walked, talked and have been enjoying blissful engagement ever since.
